RICE sticks, rice wine, food items made with rice were found to contain arsenic. Avoid white rice (even white mochi rice) as it is ↑ sodium gluconate & this can ↑ cyst growth. Fertilizer obtained from chickens fed arsenic type substances contaminate soils, remaining for 45 years. Rice more than other grain contains higher levels of arsenic from the sitting water used to irrigate rice. Brown rice has the highest arsenic content, likely from massive absorption of water-soluble arsenic into its roots, concentrated in the brown hull. Disproportionate amount of arsenic accumulates in rice.
