AVOID GENTAMICIN
GENTAMICIN is used to treat bacterial functions. It is an aminoglycosed antibiotic. It is given as an injection. Acute renal failure can result in serum creatinine of 1 to 3 mg/dL. Rarely, gentamicin produces renal tubular acidosis and renal potassium and magnesium wasting. If possible see if your doctor can give a different antibiotic.
