JIN BU HUAN have been implicated in more than a dozen cases of idiosyncratic, clinically apparent, acute liver injury. Jin Bu Huan is a Chinese herbal combination medication which can contain several herbal species including Lycopodium serratum, Panax, Pseudo ginseng, Polygala chinensis and two species of Stephania. Jaundice or liver injury can occur with liver test abnormalities within 2-24 weeks of starting the herbal combination medicine.
